FIBO Events

Fri. Aug 13-Sun Aug 15 2010

The FIBO Leadership Committee is proud to announce the schedule of events for the 2010 Fire Island Black Out.

In addition to traditional beach events like volleyball and best tent contest, this year FIBO has added a NEW ninety minute happy hour, a writer's panel presented by EMBRACE TV, and a performance by Grammy Nominated singer Brian Slade (Tonex).   Funny man, ButtaFlySoul, and spoken word diva, Dani, will round out the weekend performances.  When interviewed about Brian Slade (Tonex) performance at FIBO, Blur Advertising Director of Operations and Strategy, Michael Whitaker, who is the singer's New York agent, said "We were impressed with FIBO's mission, and felt it was the perfect audience, timing, and venue for Brian Slade (or Tonex as many may know him) to perform songs from his new CD."  Whitaker added "Brian Slade (Tonex) is a gifted singer, songwriter, and producer that many may 'first think of' as a gospel artist. However, he is so much more.  Brian is an accomplished R&B, Soul, and Hip Hop artist, whose live performances are unprecedented and he is bringing it, along with a live band to the FIBO weekend."   And, we can't wait!  For more information on all FIBO events, please checkout www.fireislandblackout.com.
